My name is Michelle and I have made fitness and health a part of my lifestyle!
Being active was always a part of my life. Growing up, I played and continue to play competitive soccer and was always "playing games" with the family after dinner! I guess you could say, our household was always busy! It wasn't until my last year of high school that I realized I wanted to make fitness my job-and by that, I mean, do what I love to do.
I went off to Brock University and began my four year honour program in Physical Education Health Studies. During my time at Brock, I began pursuing other fitness certifications and fitness now became my passion. I loved motivating others to become active and loved learning about the cause and effect of a healthy lifestyle. I wanted to share my knowledge with others and help them realize the benefits of being active. Hence, this is why I believe in continuously trying to educate myself and keep current with my certifications and pursue others.
I began teaching fitness classes and training and really understood what it would take to help others. During this time, I also worked as a Fitness Coordinator at a local facility and serviced the community on a larger scale. I gained a lot of knowledge on different lifestyles and how to help others become active in a different role.
Fast forward to the birth of my three beautiful children and my passion for leading an active lifestyle is even more important. I want to practice what I preach for them so they too can grow up and realize the importance of being active and eating healthy.
I will continue to teach and personal train so I can help others realize their potential and reach their goals. My passion is stronger than ever and my motto is simple-be active...live better!

Hey everyone! I'm Raeanne but I go by Rae!
I grew up in a small town constantly active, being a competitive gymnast for years then in karate, cheerleading, rowing with a couple other sports in the mix as well. I was competitive and active right up until University. After my first year and then turning 19 (and taking advantage of the new legal age!) I put on a lot of weight very quickly.
After wanting to prove to everyone there had to be something medically wrong with me causing the weight gain, I joined the gym and signed a contract purchasing 6 months of personal training. It didn’t take long to see results and realize the lifestyle I was living was far from healthy. I changed and saw incredible results, being more motivated to live a healthy lifestyle than ever.
I fell in love with the gym, the lifestyle and realized from this experience I wanted to become a personal trainer myself! After graduating from Niagara College Fitness & Health Promotion I got certified as a trainer and started in the field right away.
I have a passion for empowering people to live out their FULLEST potential through health and fitness!

My fitness philosophy is to continue to challenge myself, set goals and never stop learning.
Exercise is something I have always been passionate about. After completing my BA in Kinesiology at Brock, I completed a post grad at Niagara College in Exercise Science. I became a Certified Exercise Physiologist and have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 6 years. I have enjoyed success working with individuals of all fitness levels, ranging from sports specific training to rehabilitation and everyday activities.
I am a true believer that fitness can become a lifestyle; you just have to find the right style for your life. I hope that some day I will be included in your journey at Be Active Live Better!

My Name is Kristen and I have been certified as a Spin/Cycle instructor for 5 years. My teaching style is fun, choreographed and motivating!
I first became interested in cycling when I was encouraged to live outside my comfort zone and move to Guelph to pursue my MSc. The unfamiliarity of my unknown surroundings and people brought me to the only place I felt comfortable and healthy - the gym. After loving being a part of a regular class, I found myself interested in the culture, the energy and the relationships with other members. We all had a common goal at the end of the day - lets be healthy, but have fun while doing it! I started to pursue my cycling career at that moment and haven’t looked back.
I use this example in my everyday life to motivate others to try something new and leave their comfort zone. My vulnerabilities at that time lead me to explore and find passion in places I would had never looked before. So I encourage you - take on the challenge, come out and feel the energy, be apart of this lifestyle, lets be healthy and lets be active !

Hi! My name is Jen and fitness has always been an integral part of my life on many different levels.
In 2001, I became a certified fitness instructor and taught at a few local gyms and throughout the years added several certifications to my repertoire. I also co owned a dance studio which demonstrates my love for teaching and how I was and still am naturally drawn to it.
I am a mother to 4 incredible children and understand how life can get busy. But I believe that taking time out for your own self care is just as important. Balance is key! I am also an advocate for a balanced approach to my fitness regime which has led me to become a certified yoga instructor in 2016. It has changed my life so I am hoping to share my knowledge while motivating and inspiring you!

My name is Dwayne Hinds and for as long as I can remember sports and fitness has been a part of my life.
In high school (New Jersey), I was an all-state athlete in soccer, track and field, and wrestling, but my heart belonged to wrestling. After high school and college I went on to pursue a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career, which subsequently led me to pursue professional boxing, judo, sambo, kickboxing, muay thai, and brazillian juijitsu. I spent 8 years, from 2008-2016, traveling the world (Russia, Thailand, Brazil, Singapore, Columbia, Panama, USA, England, Ireland and many more) competing in martial arts and training all the fitness regiments required to perform these sports as a professional athlete.
In 2016 I finished my career with the second largest MMA promotion in the world, One Fighting Championship, and a 13-1 professional record. Since retiring from MMA, coaching and teaching Fitness and martial arts has become my new passion and I pursue it just as hard as I pursued my MMA career, by constantly seeking to learn and improve.
Today I face a new chapter in my career, as I recently sold my studio gym business in Trinidad and migrated to Canada with my wife to start our family. We recently had our first child, and I’m more motivated than ever to work hard and provide for my family, while also helping as many people as possible better there lives through fitness!!
